Cookeville, TN – Roll out the red carpet! It’s time to celebrate! The Cookeville-Putnam County Christmas Parade, a long-standing local tradition, returns this year. The parade will be live on Saturday, December 11 starting at 6 p.m. on WCTE PBS, YouTube TV, WCTE PBS App and Facebook with hosts Amy New, president and CEO of the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, and Cindy Putman, WCTE PBS’s Ready to Learn Champion for Children.

We honor our hometown heroes as this year’s grand marshals, consisting of representatives from Cookeville Police, Cookeville Fire Department, Cookeville Regional Medical Center, Putnam County EMA and Rescue, Putnam County Fire Department, Putnam County 9-1-1, Putnam County Sheriff, Putnam County EMS and the Putnam County Health Department. The parade route kicks off at the corner of Sixth Street and Washington Avenue and continues to the square at Broad Street and on to the Cookeville Depot Museum.

“The Cookeville-Putnam County Christmas Parade is one of the community’s most beloved traditions. It will be great to once again see Cookeville residents and local families enjoying this annual extravaganza,” said Brent Clark, Director of Content & Digital Media.
